Hey everyone, I’m thinking of getting an electric bike to commute to work. Does anyone know what the minimum age is to ride one in the UK? I’m a bit unsure about the rules, and I don’t want to get into trouble. Thanks!

Great question, Scott! You need to be 14 or older to ride an electric bike on public roads. Just remember to wear a helmet and follow the rules of the road. And if you’re new to electric bikes, I’d suggest practising a bit before hitting the main roads.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the question! I’ve been looking into the Raleigh Motus. It seems like a good option for beginners, and it has good reviews. Have you looked into that one or any others?
